In pursuing a refinance, my husband and I considered two companies — Gold Star and XYZ Capital. XYZ promised a lower interest rate, which Gold Sar (Rick) warned against, explaining there was probably a catch. Not knowing who to believe, my husband and I went for the lower rate. The catch indeed emerged two months later when the broker disappeared and the rate no longer existed. Like prodigal sons, we returned to Gold Star.
